Sam Bhide

Sam is the Founder and Clinical Director at Physiozen. She is an Advanced physiotherapy practitioner, qualified in 2006 and holds a MSc. in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She has worked in the NHS as well as Private setting for the last 16 years. She is currently working as first contact physiotherapist in the NHS.  As part of this role she can order investigations such as X-rays and blood tests. She can also administer steroid injections and prescribe pain medicines to improve pain and quality of life.

Sam has also been a spinal specialist in the NHS and has special interest in spinal pathologies. She treats pathologies of neck, back, hips, knees, ankles, hands, elbows, wrists and shoulders. She is an experienced acupuncturist and uses dry needling technique to release muscle tightness.

She is also a qualified Pilates instructor and can provide one-to-one Pilates sessions to improve your strength, balance and stability.

She has a keen interest in research and after working in different physiotherapy setting in the south of England and midlands; she decided to open Physiozen that encompasses physiotherapy assessment, treatment, rehabilitation techniques, wellness education, acupuncture and Pilates all under one roof. 

Physiozen has been her dream since she graduated. This service provides a holistic approach that takes into consideration your physical, emotional, social and environmental factors.  Physiozen was developed with a vision to improve the overall wellbeing of an individual.

Sam believes in a holistic therapeutic approach and her rehabilitation techniques include,

  • Advising target specific exercises

  • Manual therapy to improve the stiffness in tissues and joints

  • Education to improve your understanding of the condition

  • Root cause analysis

  • Activity modification

  • Advise on return to Work/ Sports and normal function

Sam is passionate about the human body and its function. Her goal is to ensure an individual  returns to their normal self. She believes in being a lifelong student and has been updating her skillset every year since 2007. She has an adept knowledge of musculoskeletal conditions and practices evidence based rehabilitation. She has worked in a private setting with predominantly whiplash clientele and occupational health environment, assisting people back to their work. She has also worked in various London boroughs giving her the experience of working with diverse cultures. 

Sam is an engaged physiotherapist and has always strived to keep every patient of hers on their toes, achieving their targeted rehabilitation goals. She is passionate about dancing and is a qualified dance instructor. Her dream is to open a dance/Pilates studio and improve general well being through movement. She loves dancing and hiking in her spare time. She loves dancing with her little one whilst juggling her NHS work and Physiozen in the week.
